So I said to Glenn one night, “I want a music video.” He said, “yeah okay,” so off we went to shoot random footage of lights and colours.
It was so much fun. We walked from Glebe to Darling Harbour, stopping at whatever spot we deemed cool–Glenn with his tiny Sony NEX5N and me in the high of giddy inspiration and shameless nonsense.
I thought it’d be daunting at first, you know, I hate being filmed and all; but what a surprise-I actually quite enjoyed it. Glenn’s really good at making me feel comfortable–I guess he’s done this so many times, it was just another job for him. But I appreciate it must be difficult shooting his own wife who constantly fears the wrath of double chins and has absolutely no drop of funk in her veins.
Yet we did really well! We walked and laughed and… ate lots. It was such an enjoyable night.
And even editing the video was fun! Well, a mixture of fun and nightmarish. I kept thinking OMG, I’m a narcissistic maniac. Originally Glenn wanted to edit it, but then he got too busy for me, so I braved the many cringe moments staring at and listening to myself–all in the name of art.
And of course, I needed that power to censor out those runaway muffin tops…
So, without further ado, here it is! Thanks for watching, everyone.

Good to see you’ve posted it! And yes, I think it was best you edited it yourself to deal with those imaginary double chins and muffin tops you talk about.
I’m looking forward to the next one!
