… since you know, you don’t actually fight. I’m sure Brad Pitt and Edward Norton wouldn’t mind if you spread the word :p Like what one of my Ipad Art friends has done. She recommended this cool app called Sketch Club. I love her artwork, so I bought it today for $1.99 ($1 less than what I paid for Procreate ;)).
I really like it. I find it very easy to use. It has all the options Procreate offers, but with a greater variety of standard brushes, including fur and textures. It also has other awesome functions like multilayer blending tool and vector mode. Another good thing about it is the limit on layers, it only allows a maximum of five. But I love it. Simplification is key, I think, in Procreate I sometimes end up with too many until it crashes. In reality, I know I should only need a few.
I still have not figured out the exporting function though, if there’s an ability to load the project, layers and all, to say… Photoshop or Procreate; and I’m not entirely sure about the smudging tool, I find Procreate to be somewhat more responsive. Since I draw with my fingers, I’d like to feel like I’m actually smoothing out the paint (without getting my fingers dirty :p), Sketch Club’s does not as readily perform to pressure as Procreate’s.
But I’m learning still and enjoying this app so far. I recommend it to anyone! Below is my first Sketch Club effort: Sam Holdsworth in winter. Enjoy!
