A quickie today because I fell asleep, bwaa! This is one of the scenes in my novel-in-progress when our two heroes dance under the moonlight. Isaia will draw me the background, for now I just did the lazy random night sky.
Excerpt from the book:
He fell quiet for a time as though searching for words to explain. Seemingly without thought, his arms pulled me closer until my head fell on his chest. We remained so for a time, swaying side to side to the sad melody of the man’s singing. We did not even fit: him so tall and big, me thin and bony, but I felt him then as though there was nothing between us. I circled my arms around his shoulders and listened to his heartbeat. A pang of ache jabbed at my gut, because here in his warmth, I felt… safe.
I closed my eyes, uncertain what to make of this inexplicable solace I found in his arms. Comfort by osmosis then.
