So, I thought it was time to give my site a makeover.
I fancied light sepia themes this time since I’d been going dark for years. This might sound like a small change but I ended up spending about a week or so retouching the artwork, photo and font on the site.
But I did get a bonus: some cool new html/css skills.
Oh yes, a geek like me enjoys this kind of thing. All worth it, really. I love learning new things and I’m loving the new look.
So what do you think? I would really appreciate your feedback. And I want to make a ‘brave’ offer here: if you’re using wordpress and looking for a customised website or blogsite in a style similar to this, contact me. I’m happy to work on something that may suit your needs.
On another matter, in the midst of cleaning up the content, I discovered that most magazines that had published my short fiction had now gone out of business. Ah, what a shame. But that just shows how out of touch I’ve been with the world of writing.
I want to get back to it, I really do. All I need is a kick on the bum.
Well, recently I did get half a kick. I managed to fix an old short story–‘Beginning Of An End‘– into something I think is reasonably decent. Check it out if you want. It’s posted on my Fiction section. Isaia did the illustration for me. By accident, kind of. He said he felt inspired by the tale or something like that and drew that beautiful illustration based on it. Ah, the joy of sharing.
And it was a perfectly decent kick to get my writing mood going again.
Anyway, thanks for the visit, my peeps. Have a great day!
